Welcome!
I just wanted to do a brief post about my basic skin care essentials and routine! Its cheap, cheerful and effective. I hope you find this post useful and helpful!
So when I shower in the morning I use the Simple face wash and then the light moisturiser when I get out.
This face wash is lovely because its so silky and light and you can really feel it makes a difference on your face especially after a long weekend or a long shift. I will admit when I get out the shower my face feels like Ghandi’s flip flop because I can feel all the natural oil has been removed from my face so I need to get moisturiser on asap otherwise its quite uncomfortable, but I guess all in all thats its job. Ticks the unscented box too!
Buy the light moisturiser here!
I love this light moisturiser because its water based, this is specifically good for me as I have combination skin and get super oily around my nose etc as the day goes on so this gives me a light layer of moisture but its not heavy or too creamy. Its completely unscented too, I really appreciate that when it comes to skin care products. If you have very dry skin they do a rich moisturiser which is much thicker and more nourishing.
So after a long night at work I just wanted to get in to bed and fall asleep, well I do just that after I remove my makeup with these little babies! I can remove my makeup with my eyes shut with these, they are just an essential in my mind. I use them for travelling, removing makeup when I film my videos, I have actually used them for cleaning surfaces too, don’t ask why. Boots always has a sweet deal on for them I swear as well, usually 3 packs for £5 which is awesome considering they’re like £3.50 usually.
Vaseline is a must have. I have a big pot at home and mini pots always on me, even on a night out, vaseline is an essential in the clutch bag. Whenever I remove my makeup I put vaseline on for the evening. At work I use vas a lot especially as its getting real cold out. I prefer the unscented one especially when my lips are really really dry, the flavoured ones make my lips sting and it doesn’t help at all.
THE HOLY GRAIL OF LIFE. I moisturise my hands about 5-10 times a day depending on whats going on. I have a big bottle of cocoa butter at home and mini one in my bag for on the go. I just get really dry hands and dry cuticles and it makes me feel so uncomfortable. I will always have a moisturiser on me no matter what or where. Must have for sure.
Thanks for joining me for this blog post and I hope you liked it!
